Telconet, working alongside ASN, has reached one of the most significant milestones in building the CSN-1 submarine cable system: the final splice.
Crews are on-site at the Bonita Beach landing station completing this last connection point, where all the individual cable segments come together into one continuous system. Once the splice is done, teams will deploy and lay the final section of cable along the seabed to complete the route.
It’s one of the last major technical steps before a cable network is ready to carry traffic, the culmination of months of planning, manufacturing, and installation. For CSN-1, it sets the stage for testing and, eventually, activation.
For CSN-1, this milestone marks a major step toward completion. The project now moves into testing, with activation to follow.
